What's inside
- Setup
- Your currency, the exchange rates you will pay, duty on goods or goods plus freight, your current supplier.
- Lines
- What you need: item, description, quantity, unit — up to 30 lines.
- Suppliers
- Currency, freight per order, a free-freight threshold, other charges, Incoterms, payment terms.
- Quotes
- One row per supplier per line: minimum order, order multiple, up to four price breaks, duty rate, lead time, validity.
- Compare
- Offers ranked per line, a side-by-side view, and each supplier's coverage and lead time.
- Award
- Choose a supplier per line; freight is split again over what you actually buy, with the saving.
How it calculates
- Order quantity: what you need, raised to the minimum order and the first break, rounded up to the order multiple.
- Unit price: the price break that the order quantity reaches.
- Freight and other per-order charges: free above the threshold, otherwise split over the supplier's lines by value.
- Landed cost per unit needed: everything paid for the line ÷ the quantity you need — surplus included.
- A cheaper larger order (the next break) is shown as a tip, never applied.
Good to know
- Only your exchange rates are used; an offer without one is left out and marked.
- Freight is split over a supplier's lines by value, not by weight.
- Formulas work in Excel 2010 and later, LibreOffice and Google Sheets. No macros.
- The example data is fictional: replace the yellow cells with your own.
